About The Gateway of Hope

A welcoming place for faith and community.

Who we are

In the heart of Langley, serving both the City and the Township, stands The Gateway of Hope, a ministry of The Salvation Army in Canada. More than just a shelter, Gateway is a beacon for those facing homelessness and hardship, offering not only a place to stay but a path forward.

Our mission is to meet people where they are, providing vital support: food, shelter, services, and above all, hope. Everyone who walks through our doors is welcomed with dignity and respect.

Transforming lives

We believe in a holistic, person-centered approach that cares for immediate needs while supporting long-term transformation. Since opening, we’ve had the honour of walking alongside countless individuals as they move from crisis to stability and from the margins toward lives filled with meaning and possibility.

At Gateway of Hope, we don’t just meet needs, we help people rediscover their purpose, rebuild confidence, and reclaim their future.
